Expanded Multi-Level Poolside Deck and Pergola in Hamburg, Iowa

The goal of this project was to remove a worn-out wood deck and replace it with a more modern, functional outdoor living area. The homeowner wanted a better connection between the house and pool with an updated layout and materials. The result was a multi-level poolside deck with a louvered roof pergola.

The new design included a multi-tiered composite deck that transitions directly to the above-ground pool. A steel pergola with a privacy screen creates a shaded sitting area near the house, while aluminum railings and wide steps provide safety and accessibility.

The upgraded space now offers more usable square footage and a smoother flow between the home and pool. The use of long-lasting, low-maintenance materials ensures the area remains beautiful and functional for years to come.
